It's a bird, it's a plane, it's….Caroline Kennedy? The senior pole-vaulting star from Orlando Boone is one of the best FL pole-vaulters in recent memory, but few have ever heard of her.
"Pole-vaulting doesn't really get a lot of publicity for some reason. I didn't even know if I really liked it until the middle of sophomore year."
Kennedy almost never picked up a pole and almost opted for another calling. "During my freshman year I knew I wanted to do track but I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it over water-polo."
She is always up for a challenge and seems to always be on her feet. During the fall she can be found on the courts spiking a volleyball, but when winter comes along its basketball time. Kennedy has played basketball every year up until this year as she decided to put all of her effort and attention into vaulting. During track season Kennedy spends the majority of her time in the sky whether it during pole-vaulting, high jumping, or the 110 hurdles.
