Schnulle Battles from Behind for win

Charlotte senior Ryan Schnulle took the baton for the final leg with a sizable gap to make up. Last year's state record breakers in the event were in around 8th place with two laps to go. Schnulle took the challenge... he made up several seconds to close and then pass for the victory of 8:12.05, just .25 over Naples.

Ortiz Continues Streak

Olivia Ortiz has been on fire in Southwest Florida this spring. She swept the 1600 (5:02) and 3200 (11:00) and helped her team earn the 9:37 4x800 victory.

Henry Sets School Record for Wiregrass

Alisha Henry of Wiregrass Ranch set a new school record in the pole vault with her 11-3 clearance.

Familiar faces and newcomers shine (Tampa Trib)

One of the area's largest, most visible and competitive track meets of the season, Saturday's USF/Steinbrenner Invitational offered the perfect stage to do one of two things: make a statement as an established athlete or step into the limelight as a relative unknown.
 
Well-known local standouts such as seniors Alexis Wright of Steinbrenner, Max del Monte of Chamberlain and Hillsborough's Jorian Ordway reasserted their dominance.
