There will be a $1 parking charge in all parking lots.
Breakfast will be served! Coffee and pastries will be provided by the concession stand! Also, snacks will be available throughout the day.
Event t-shirts will be sold as well. Shirts will cost $20.
The 2012 Destin MS Invitational is a 3000m race for boys and girls in grades 5-8. The event is a Super Qualifier for the Flyra Middle School State Championship. The top 5 boys and girls teams will automatically qualify for the State Championship and the top 15 individual runners will qualify as well.
The course, located at Morgan Sports Complex in Destin, Fl consists of mixed(grass, hard pack dirt, wide sidewalk) terrain.

The official hotel of the Destin MS Invitational is the Summer Place Inn. Mention "Destin Invitational" and get the rate of $69.99 per night for Friday and Saturday. The hotel is adjacent to the Morgan Sports Complex and has a gate to allow entry to the sports fields from the hotel parking lot. They also offer free breakfast!

This year, there will be 3 events; a Varsity Boys 3k, a Varsity Girls 3k and an Open Division 3k. To mimic state competition, only 7 boys and 7 girls can enter in the varsity races. The top 5 will score while the other two can push. The Open Division is open to unlimited entries and no team score will be taken.
Teams: You must enter all of your participants using this website. Bib numbers will be assigned to runners in the system. Without your roster, we cannot assign bid numbers. Update your roster and add participants to the events. The divisions will be determined at the start line. In other words, only send your top 7 to the start line for the Championship Girls and Boys Division. You may then send all remaining athletes to the start line of the open division. You may not enter runners in more than one division.
Tenative Schedule:
7:30am - Gates Open: Team Check in/Packet Pick up begins.
9:00am - Varsity Girls 3k
9:30am - Varsity Boys 3k
10:00am - Open Division 3k
11:00am - Awards Begin
$100 per team, includes Boys and Girls entries into the Varsity and Open Race.
$60 for just a Girls or Boys team(includes entries into Varsity and Open Division).
$10 for individuals to enter each race.
Digital Timing, Race Numbers, Awards for 1st-15th place boys and girls in the Varsity race and 1st-3rd boys and girls varsity team awards. Awards for the top 10 finishers(Boys and Girls) in the Open Division.
Live Dj, Drinks and Snacks will be available for runners after their races.
Coaches hospitality tent is also provided.
