All teams will be set up by the scoreboard closest to Interstate 4.
Event: 3A District 9 Championships
Date: Wednesday, April 17, 2013 (Date changed because of Relay for Life)
Place: Armwood High School
Time:
Coaches meeting at 12:00 p.m.
Weigh-in at 12:00 p.m.
Field events start at 1:00 p.m.
Running Prelims will start at 4:00 p.m.
Running Finals will start at 7:00 p.m.
Entry Limit: 4 athletes per event and 1 Relay team
Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 Relays: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Timing: Finish Lynx fully automatic timing will be used for all races.
Track Conditions: Synthetic rubber surface on track (42" lanes), runways and jumping surfaces - 1/8 inch pyramid spikes ONLY. Spikes will be checked by the clerk of the course. Cement throwing circles.
Starting Blocks: Starting blocks will be provided.
Points of Interest: All field events will be closed after the event is over. No practicing in these event areas will be permitted. The practice area will be the softball field behind the home bleachers. Hurdles will be available for athletes. Athletes are expected to stay in the team camp unless they are competing in an event. No athletes on the infield. Please keep all athletes at the track area as well. No one is allowed into the building. Any athlete found on Armwood campus will be disqualified from the meet and face trespassing charges. Athletes who check out from a field event must report back to the field event judge at the conclusion of the running event and will have 12 minutes before next attempt. Clerk of course is located by the 100 start line (All athletes is running events must check in before they run a race or they will be disqualified).

Food: There will be concessions available. Light food from 12-3 PM then Hot food from 3-???PM

Contestants must check in by 1:00 p.m. at the latest
Long Jump -Each contestant will get 3 Attempts in Prelims. The Top 8 will be called back for the finals and Top 4 Advance to the Region meet. Boys pit on visitor side, girls pit on home side. Time limit is 1 minute after name is called.
Triple Jump - Each contestant will get 3 Attempts in Prelims. The Top 8 will be called back for the finals and Top 4 Advance to the Region meet. Boys pit on visitor side, girls pit on home side. Time limit is 1 minute after name is called.
Discus - Girls followed by Boys. Each contestant will get 3 Attempts in Prelims. The Top 8 will be called back for the finals and Top 4 Advance to the Region meet. Time limit is 1 minute after name is called.
Shot Put - Boys followed by Girls. Each contestant will get 3 Attempts in Prelims. The Top 8 will be called back for the finals and Top 4 Advance to the Region meet. Time limit is 1 minute after name is called.
Pole Vault - Girls followed by Boys. The 5 alive procedure will be used; starting height for girls will be 6' 6" (Standards start at 6' 6") and boys will be 8' 0". The bar will be raised in increments of 6". Time limit is 1 1/2 minutes after name is called (Time limit is 4 minutes when 3 or fewer jumpers and 6 minutes when 1 jumper is left).
High Jump - Girls followed by Boys. The 5 alive procedure will be used 4' 2" starting height for girls & 5' 0" starting height for boys. The bar will be raised in increments of 2". Time limit is 1 minute after name is called (Time limit is 3 minutes when 3 or fewer jumpers and 5 minutes when 1 jumper is left).
