Registration:
All Registration will be done through fl.milesplit.com. Registration will CLOSE Tuesday, April 15th at 11:59PM. All athletes participating in the District Meet must be entered by this time No additions will be accepted after registration closes. All SCRATCHES must be submitted by 5pm on Wednesday, April 16th to gunlaprunning@yahoo.com. After the Wednesday deadline, all athletes entered into an event must compete in that event (or at least start). Any athlete that does not participate in an event in which he/she is entered, will be scratched from all remaining events, including relays.
There is a 4 athlete limitation to all individual events and 1 relay team per school
Advancement Rules:
The first four contestants in each individual event and the first four teams in each relay event will advance to the Regional Meet (Friday, April 25th at Chiles HS in Tallahassee, FL). All Ties will be broken for advancing.
Field Events (Horizontal Jumps and Throws):
The best 8 distances in each preliminary event (first 3 throws and jumps) will move on to finals for an additional 3 throws or jumps. Best mark from all 6 distances will be scored. All legal marks will be measured.
Preliminary Events:
The winner of each heat plus the next fastest times, up to 8 athletes per event, will move on to finals.
Non-Preliminary Events:
All heats against time, the fastest 4 athletes will advance to the Regional Meet
Awards:
*REGIONAL QUALIFIERS WILL BE RECOGNIZED AT AWARDS TENT AT THE CONCLUSION OF EVENTS*
