2A Region 4 Championship

Parking: $5.00 per vehicle.*
Course Preview: Friday, November 7th
Teams may preview the course from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Teams previewing the course must park at the Chain of Lakes. No teams will be allowed to
Park at EFSC.
Meet Schedule
7:00- course opens to teams. Please do not enter EFSC or Chain of Lakes before this time.
8:30- Coaches Meeting
8:45- officials meeting, right after the coaches meeting.
8:45- Course is closed. Runners must warm up off the course pathways.
8:50- Girls report to the line.
9:00- Girls race
9:20- Boys report to the line.
9:30- Boys race
10:00- Open race. Clock may be running.
10:20- Awards at the finish line area.
Awards:
First and Second place FHSAA team trophies will be awarded in both Girls and Boys races.
Medals will be awarded to the top 15 finishers in both races.
Admission to the Region meet:
Only FHSAA 2014-2015 State Series passes will be allowed.
Per FHSAA rules a school may carry up to 15 runners on the eligibility list.
Schools / teams will be allowed 15 runners in uniform, 1 head coach into the Region meet. Everyone else will be required to pay the 7.00.
Parking:
Teams All cars, Buses and vans transporting runners /team must use the entrance to the Chain of Lakes .
Which is approx. 1/2 mile north of the EFSC campus at Truman Scarboro Way.
Upon entering, Gate workers will direct you to the right and the large parking lot. Please do not hold up traffic or park at the soccer fields.
No team parking at EFSC or dropping off.
Spectators- Spectators must to use the entrances to the EFSC campus. Cars will be directed by Titusville PD and EFSC security to the lot being used.
Gate workers will be present at each entrance:
All vehicles will be charged 5.00 for parking.
FHSAA set Admission to the meet is $7.00 per person.
*Please do not park on the grass or in parking spots reserved for EFSC staff and facility.
Course:
The course will be the same layout as the Astronaut Invitational, Mostly grass, three metal bridge crossings. Short to medium spikes are recommended. The course pathways are indicated with markers and a white line. Runners must stay on the grass, between the markers at all times, except the few times the course crosses the pathway. Runners deliberately running on the asphalt pathway will be subject to disqualification.
Facilities:
There will be Port-a-Johns near the starting line area, the locker room/restrooms in the Gym building of the EFSC and the bathrooms by the soccer field (team parking area).
Rules and Restrictions:
1. All FHSAA and National Federation rules are enforced.
2. Decisions of the meet referee and the jury of Appeals are final.
3. All runners must wear shoes.
Medical
1. We have at the finish line area a EMT, Medical Doctor, Sport Chiropractor.
2. Allow them to handle all injuries and physical problems during or at the finish of the race.
3. If an emergency arises, the Doctors and EMT on site will handle it.
