ORDER OF EVENTS*
These are approximate times that each event will start. Every effort is made to run the meet smoothly and on schedule. If the meet runs ahead of schedule, it will be allowed to continue to run ahead of schedule, up to one hour ahead of the times stated in the event schedule shown below. Participants should be at the track, ready to participate, a minimum of one hour prior to the scheduled start of their event. Participants who miss the start of their event will be scratched from the event.
12:30 PM Coaches and Athletic Director at finish line area. PLEASE BE PROMPT
12:35 PM Volunteer Meeting at finish line.
12:50 PM Player Prayer and National Anthem
GRADE K-2 ATHLETES
1:00 PM 50 Meter Dash
1:00 PM Field Events Open
1:20 PM 100 Meter Dash
1:40 PM 4 x 50 Meter Relay
2:10 PM 4 x 100 Meter Relay
2:40 PM 200 Meter Run
3:30 PM All Field Events Close at 3:30 PM for grade K-2. No exceptions.
GRADE 3-5 ATHLETES
2:30 PM Field Events Open
3:10 PM 50/100 Meter Dash
3:40 PM Boys and Girls One Mile Run
4:10 PM 4 x 100 Meter Relay
4:30 PM Field Events Close at 4:30 PM for grade 3-5. No exceptions
4:40 PM 400 Meter Run
5:10 PM Mixed Relays all grade levels
5:40 PM 200 Meter Run
6:00 PM 800 Meter Run
Athletes are required to check in with the Clerk of the Track prior to start of their event. The Clerk / Check-In area will be behind under the grand stands by the start line for the 100 meter run. A staging area for athletes will be made available and athletes will be escorted to their respective starting lines for all running events. Field event participants check in at their respective field event.
NO JEWELRY allowed on the athletes at any time. ATHLETES MUST WEAR SCHOOL SHIRT in competition.
Running Events are run in the following order*:
K grade girls, K grade boys, 1st Grade girls, 1st Grade boys, 2nd Grade girls, 2nd Grade boys, 3rd Grade girls, 3rd Grade boys, 4th Grade girls, 4th Grade boys, 5th Grade girls, 5th Grade boys.
Field Events will be in flights by assigned grade levels.
All Field Events will close at 3:30 PM for grade K-2 and 4:30 PM for grade 3-5(NO EXCEPTIONS) If you are in line and waiting at that time you will be allowed to throw or jump.
PETS, ALCOHOL AND ANY FORM OF TOBACOO PRODUCT (INCLUDING E-CIGS) PROHIBTED ON THE CAMPUS OF BISHOP MOORE CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
*In the interest of time some heats may run in combined grade groups and ahead of time by up to one hour, but will be scored separately.
