2018 Danny Brown Invitational Presented by 
Bishop John J. Snyder High School invites you to the 9th Annual Danny Brown InvitationalTrack and Field Meet on February 23rd, 2018.
For those that dont know, Danny was a long timetrack coach in the area at Bishop Kenny High School and also Washington state, and left alegacy here at Snyder. It is because of Danny we have such a nice facility. The track complex is a newly resurfaced, eight lane rubberized track, with all of the field events within the track offering the opportunity to view all the events from the stands. The pole vault system is a new Richey Athletics pit that exceeds high school and college safety standards.
Coach Nathan Stanley will serve as meet director.
Concessions and restroom facilities are available on site. The meet will be team scored.
We will offer Consolation 800 & 1600 races that will not be scored but will be timed will take place earlier in the day(Please see time schedule). Those two races will consist of the runners that did not make the top 16 verified marks for the finals to be run in the afternoon. We will go up to 24 runners in the 1600 if there are competitive entries. Entry is still required for the 800 & 1600 consolation race. Distance runners not seeded in the top 24 for the 3200 can run in the mixed race following the boys 4x800. This race does not require online entry and will have a running clock.
Entries for the FINALS portion of the meet are limited to: 3 athletes per event, 1 Team per Relay.The meet will be timed by Half-Mile Timing using the FinishLynx (F.A.T.) Timing System, and will also include their new video board for immediate live results. Live results will also be available throughout the meet at www.halfmiletiming.com.
Team champion, Runner-up, and Outstanding Individual Performer trophies will be awarded.The meet will feature prelims and finals for all events. First, second and third place in each event will receive medals; fourth through eighth will receive ribbons. The top eight places will be called to the awards tent at the conclusion of their event to receive their awards, with the top three places being announced over the PA and on the medal stand.
There will be a Coaches & Officials Hospitality tent provided by Moes Southwest Grill during the intermission between prelims and finals.Entries must be entered via www.flrunners.com no later than 11:59pm, Tuesday, February 20th, 2018. Heat sheets will be posted as soon as the last addition is made. A late fee of $25 will be assessed for re-opening registration on www.flrunners.comEntry fee is $50/team or $100/school (b/g). If you have less than 5 athletes, $10/athlete. Please enclose entry fee with Meet Name. Mail or bring payment to the meet.
