*** Only 1/8 and 1/4 inch pyramid spikes allowed. Clerk will check.***
NO TAPE ALLOWED ON TRACK OR RUNWAYS. Please bring tennis balls or other items without sticky residue for your relay marks and runway marks. Thank you.
Schedule:
3:30 p.m. - coaches' meeting
4:00 p.m. - field events* (3 attempts, no finals) and 4x800m relay
6:00 p.m. - running finals (all running events are finals based on time, order is below)
RUNNING EVENTS: 100m HH/110m HH,100m,One Mile Run (the Mile, not the 1600m),4x100m Relay,400m,300m IH,800m,200m,3200m,4x400m Relay
FIELD EVENTS:
Order of field events:Girls' shot and boys' discus then the reverse at the conclusion of each. High jump girls followed by boys. Long jump both boys and girls followed by triple jump boys and girls. Boys jump on east end and girls jump on west end.
Field event assignments:
- Girls Long and Triple Jump - Southeast and Palmetto
- Boys Long and Triple Jump - IMG and Cardinal Mooney
- Girls High Jump - Braden River
- Boys High Jump - Lakewood Ranch
- Shot Put - Lakewood Ranch and Manatee
- Discus - Palmetto
4x100 relay exchange zones:
- Zone 1: Bayshore and Sarasota
- Zone 2: Bradenton Christian and Manatee
- Zone 3: St. Stephens and Braden River
Jury of appeals: Bayshore, Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, Palmetto, Braden River, St. Stephens
Awards: Top 2 team trophies and 1-3 individual medals in each event. Each athlete will pick up her/his own medal(s) approximately 5-15 minutes after each event. There will NOT be a team envelope of awards at the end of the meet.
Running Events - No Prelims. All finals and are seeded. Girls then boys on each event. All athletes enter track from the east gate (closest to parking lot) and exit at west end of track (near restrooms). Athletes must check in to the clerk at the 100m start at first call. Let them know! Don't let them get disqualified. Uniform rule in effect.
NO COACHES ON INFIELD as that results in athletes on the infield. No one on infield except athletes warming up on the east end of the field.
Team Area: All teams on the retention area near check in. NO ATHLETES IN THE STANDS.
Warm up area: East side of infield area (high jump end), marked by cones.
A trainer will be on site.
PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR TEAM AREA AT COMPLETION. TRASH CANS PROVIDED.
Concession stand will be open. There are no outside water fountains at MHS. Teams are NOT allowed to bring grills or any type of cooking devices.
