Join us for our 1st Annual Cardinal Mooney Cross Country Meet at Nathan Benderson Park. The course will be off pavement at the South end of the park. We will only be hosting girls & boys varsity races with unlimited entries. Girls will run at 8am & boys will run at 8:45am. Coach meeting at 7:30am & awards at 9:45am. Medals for top 5 individuals; team trophies for 1st place and runner-up
We are excited to have you at our First Annual Cardinal
Mooney Cross Country Invitational at Benderson Park. Our 5 kilometer course is 2/3rds mowed grass
and 1/3 crushed sea shells. The course
is well marked and there a few areas where the athletes will have to cross the
park loop road. We have taken extra
precaution in these areas with signs and volunteers. Course map below.
For those familiar with Benderson Park, please be advised
that there will be a rowing event that same day at the north end of the park by
the UTC Mall. Parking for the
Invitational Race will be near the south entrance by the boat ramp. Those not familiar with the area, exit I-75
at the Fruitville exit, number 210.
Proceed West to Cattleman Road and look for signs directing you to the
event. Bus parking is immediately after
the South entrance and general parking is just beyond that area in a grassy
field. Registration area is by starting
line and team tents just past general parking; tshirts will be handed out with
registration packets. If you have not
emailed me team shirt sizes, please do so this week, mcdonaldchristi@aol.com. Also, please check over your entries and make sure you send payment this week. Starting boxes will be first come, first
serve.
