Location: The Vanguard School, 22000 U.S. 27, Lake Wales, FL 33859
It is a 3-lap course on grass. Your athletes may want to wear spikes.
Date: Thursday, October 11
Time: Coaches Meeting = 3:45pm
Girls Race = 4:15pm
Boys Race = 4:45pm
Race Cost: $50 per school

As this is a smaller meet, please limit your entries to 10 athletes per race.
This meet is designed for athletes who do not normally get a chance at the spotlight. Please only bring male athletes who run around 21 minutes or more in the 5k, and please only bring female athletes who run around 24 minutes or more in the 5k.
If you would like to bring runners who are faster than the above times, that is okay, as I know some teams need to enter more meets before the district races. If this is the case, please have them treat the race as a tempo run or team-building run, and they should not try to win. Again, this race is meant to give some recognition to athletes who also put in a lot of effort, but don't necessarily have enough natural talent or experience to get awards in races.
Since the race is hand-timed, runners will not need to wear bibs or shoe tags. Instead, runners will receive numbered Popsicle ticks as they cross the finish line. Coaches will collect the Popsicle sticks, record the place, name, and school for each runner, and then return the list to the official timers.
Awards will go to the top 10 finishers in each race, as well as 1st and 2nd place team trophies for each gender.
Course maps will be pass out during the coaches meeting. Water and Gatorade can be found at the finish line.
