Meet Information
All Registration will be done through directathletics.com. Registration will CLOSE TUESDAY, APRIL 9TH at 11:59 PM. All athletes participating in the District Meet must be entered by this time No additions will be accepted after registration closes. Any athlete that does not participate in an event in which he/she is entered, will be scratched from all remaining events, including relays. Additionally, these athletes will forfeit any previous advancement from an event.
Coaches,
Welcome to the 2019 Class 2A, District 10 Championships. We are excited about the opportunity to host this event and we will do everything possible to make it a good one. Listed below are some general instructions for the track meet. If you have any questions about the meet, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Parking: The Parking on our campus is quite limited, especially during the school day. Please be advised that we may be unable to accommodate athletes that drive themselves to the meet prior to 4:00 PM! Once the parking on campus fills, they will be directed to park at Westgate Baptist Church (an off-campus parking lot on Kelly Road). Please use Bray Road as your entrance to campus. Buses will be directed to park at Westgate Baptist Church after athletes are dropped off.
Athlete and Spectator Entrance: 6.00 as per FHSAA
Spectator entrance is on the Northeast side of the facility. Please enter and exit through that gate. All busses will be directed for unloading and parking. Most of the gates around the track will be locked down. Please do not jump any fences!
Trainers: Athletic trainers will be provided on site. The trainers will not provide massages. They are there to help facilitate immediate injuries. If you need additional services from the trainers, please bring your own supplies (tape, pre-wrap, etc). The trainers will be set-up near the finish line under the trees and the training room facility can easily be accessed.
Tents: Tents are permitted on the East side of the track in Kuhn Field (Tent City). Teams may NOT place any tents in the stands. Please clean up your area upon departure. NO Athletes or Coaches are allowed on the infield unless competing.
Field Event Coaches Boxes: Coaches Boxes will be established at the Girls Long Jump / Triple Jump Pit (located along southwest side of the track (near the pirate ship). Additionally, a coachs box will be established near the shot put area (on the outside of the track near the shed). All other venues should have adequate coaching access.
Concessions and Hospitality:
The concessions stand will be open throughout the day. There will be coachs hospitality food available with location to be announced at the coachs meeting.
Awards:
The District Champion and Runner-up will receive trophies at the conclusion of the event. The top 8 athletes / relay teams in each event will receive ribbons. In an attempt to reward athletic accomplishment, we will present the top 8 athletes on an award stand in the field on the front straight-away following each event. Please notify your field event athletes that placed in the top 8 to listen to the announcement to report to the awards area in the infield to receive their awards.
Track Rules: Spike length is limited to inch or less. Tape will be allowed for exchange zones.
Weights and Measures: All shots and discs must be weighed in prior to competition. All Pole Vaulters must be weighed in and have their poles checked prior to competition. The Shot Put and Discus Weigh-in area is at the Clerks tent next to the start of the 100 meters (Near the Shed at the south area of the track). All implements will be impounded and brought to the site. Any shot or discus that does not make weight will be impounded until competition is over Please do NOT forget to pick up your equipment.
Inclement Weather Procedure: If it rains, adjustments may be made in the schedule. Meet management will make the decision on whether to delay some events because of inclement weather.

Advancement Rules:
The first four contestants in each individual event and the first four teams in each relay event will advance to the Regional Meet. All Ties will be broken for advancing.
Field Events (Horizontal Jumps and Throws):
The best 9 distances in each preliminary event (first 3 throws and jumps) will move on to finals for an additional 3 throws or jumps. Best mark from all 6 distances will be scored. All legal marks will be measured in Metric.
Preliminary Events:
The top 2 in each heat plus the next fastest times, up to 8 athletes per event, will move on to finals.
Non-Preliminary Events:
All heats against time, the fastest 4 athletes will advance to the Regional Meet
Jury of Appeals:
Jefferson, Spoto, Academy, Middleton, Berkeley Prep, Tampa Catholic. In other words, every team is a part of the Jury. The team that submits the appeal will recuse themselves from the Jury for that specific appeal.
Concessions and Hospitality:
The concessions stand will be open throughout the day. There will be coachs hospitality food available with location to be announced at the coachs meeting.
