The 58th Annual Ed Wells Jr. Kiwanis Invitational will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020:

Registration/Registration Fee:
If you wish to be invited to the meet/wish to attend, please make a check payable to Springtime City Kiwanis Foundation and mail to Springtime City Kiwanis, P.O. Box 6142, Clearwater 33758. PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE BY MARCH 1, 2020! Checks will not be accepted the day of the meet or after this day (NEW Rule by Kiwanis)!Once Kiwanis receives your check, they will email Rachel Zeron and she will have Direct Athletics (Registration is on Direct Athletics) send you an invite if the meet is not full (FIRST 30 SCHOOLS TO SEND THEIR CHECK)! Registration Fees: 2 Teams (Boys & Girls) $200 | 1 Team (Boys or Girls) $160 | Singles $25 (If 4 or more athletes from your school compete, that constitutes a team entry.) No refunds. Teams must register by 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 to be entered, and this deadline will not be extended for any reason.
Entry Rules:
RUNNING EVENTS: All Finals -Limit 3 athletes per event per team. FIELD EVENTS: Top 16 entries in Vertical Jumps / Top 24 Entries in Horizontal Jumps &Throws; 3 Jumps or Throws with No Finals in Horizontal Jumps and Throws).
Awards:
Awards are given to the top eight places in every event, champion and runner-up trophies are presented to the top two teams for each gender. 4 coaches from each team are provided with a free meal voucher.
Infield: will be closed to athletes and spectators. Please set up in the bleachers or on the grounds surrounding the track. Starts will be delayed if athletes are in the infield.
Gate Fee: Adults: $5.00; Children under 5: Free; Coaches must have ID!
Concessions & T-Shirts: will be available at the meet.

If you have volunteers or coaches who wish to assist with any of the field events their help is welcomed and appreciated. Please email Rachel Zeron at Clearwater High, zeronra@pcsb.org and a list of responsibilities will be emailed by March 12th concerning volunteers.
SCHEDULE & ORDER OF EVENTS:No implement weigh-in. Coaches meeting at 8:15am. Field events begin at 9:00am. All races will be finals, schedule is posted below. 3 athletes per team can be entered in any of the running events. In the throws and jumps there will be limited entries. Vertical jumps will be limited to the top 16 marks entered, including ties. Throws and horizontal jumps will be limited to top 24 marks entered. Qualifiers in throws and horizontal jumps will be given 3 attempts with no finals. When registering your athletes, you may use past seasons PRs but please be realistic and please do not list fictitious times or distances. Also, please do not register athletes who are unlikely to participate as no additions or substitutions will take place.
Athletes must report to the clerk prepared to race. They will not be permitted on the track unless they are in uniform ready to race. Entrance to the track will be at the South end of the track. All spikes must be 1/8 inch pyramids. No needle spikes are allowed.
