Meet Information

Gulliver Prep will be hosting the 2A District 16 Championship on Wednesday October 28th, 2020 at Larry and Penny Thompson Park. There will be no spectators allowed at the meet in compliance with the guidelines the park has given us. Gulliver will have volunteers present for certain tasks.

Time Schedule:
4:15PM Coaches Meeting
5:00PM Girls Race
5:45PM Boys Race

COVID Rules:
All athletes, coaches, and personnel will be required to wear masks at all times. The only time runners do not have to wear masks will be when warming up, racing and cooling down. Coaches are responsible for cleaning all disposable masks for their team. You are required to provide your own water for athletes. Coaches are responsible for screening each of their athletes and regulating temperature checks before arriving at the park.

Entries:
All entries are done through HomeCampus; there is no need to do anything. You are allowed up to 10 runners to compete at the district championship. Any team member who finishes beyond 7th in the team standing shall not count towards scoring in the team or individual race, shall not displace any opposing runner in individual score and shall not receive any individual awards during the competition.

Timing:
Timing will be done by Larry Wooten if you have any questions regarding timing feel free to contact Ryan Raposo - ryanraposo@gmail.com. The cost for timing will be split among the district, your athletic directors will receive that information.

Awards:
Due to the pandemic we will not be having a formal award ceremony. Medals for the top 15 runners will be handed out through the chute and top 2 teams will be given trophies through their coaches.

Trainer:
We will have a trainer on site but this will be for emergencies only for the safety of our trainer.

Advancement:
In each district meet, the first three (3) placing teams and the top four (4) placing individual runners who are not members of an advancing team shall advance to the regional meet. A team is defined as having five (5) or more runners on the starting line and competing.

Bathrooms:
The bathroom will be open to 1 person at a time. Please let your runners know this in advance so that they can either use the bathroom at school before leaving or well before running to avoid any problems.

Arrival:
Upon arrival please have your teams unload their buses in the parking lot and set up team camps in the field with respectable social distancing between camps. There are only 6 teams and plenty of room, we can be very spread apart.
