DAVID BOWDEN RELAYS/COBRA LEGACY MEET
Year Two of the return of THE Historic David Bowden Relays/Cobra Legacy Meet. We are hoping you and your team will join us in continuing this annual event. We have a new signature shuttle hurdle relay event like no other the Mixed - 2x210m Relay where you have a young lady run 100m Hurdles and a young man running the 110mhurdles. Continuing signature relays and an Invitational hurdle event in remembrance of our late Lady Cobra 100m Hurdle record holder Daeshon Gordon, that was restarted in 2021.
Paying Tribute to a couple of Forever Cobras as well as new Cobra Legend, this years Bowden Relays will be one to remember.

Registration: All Registration will be completed through www.directathletics.com. All Registration must be in by, Thursday, February 25th @ 8:00PM! After Thursday, NO changes will be accepted.

Special Presentations (These will be announced closer to the date of the meet)
Forever Cobras This will be a special presentation and few words for our Forever Cobras, these are Cobras that have passed away but will forever be in our hearts
Cobra Living Legacy This will be a special presentation to a Living Cobra Legacy, someone who is a Cobra Alumni/past Coach, someone who is engraved in the legacy of Boyd Anderson Track and Field
SESSION TWO START TIME 2:30 PM OR 45 MINUTES AT THE CONCLUSION OF SESSION ONE RUNNING
COVID PROTOCOLS TEAMS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO FOLLOW THEIR SCHOOL GUIDELINES WITH REGARDS TO COVID PROTOCOLS. ALL ATHLETE AND COACHES WILL HAVE TEMPERATURES HECKED UPON ENTRY AS AN ADDITIONAL MEASURE. TEAMS WILL HAVE SET SECTION TO SET UP TENTS ON BASEBALL FIELD (WARM UP AREA) WITH RESPECTED SOCIAL DISTANCES. THERE WILL ALSO BE A DESIGNATED ATHLETE SECTION IN STANDS WITH RESPECTS TO SOCIAL DISTANCE. NO ATHLETES ARE PERMITTED IN THE MAIN SPECTATOR SECTION AT ANY TIME DURING THE MEET.
SPECTATOR ENTRY FEE Tickets will be purchased online ONLY and will be through Go Fan. Just as last year we will have three ticket options and these are based on the above scheduled sessions, Field Session, Running Session, both sessions. The running events that are during a field session are a part of a field session spectator entry fee. Once conclusion of field events we will exit all spectators from the stadium and begin re-entry for the running events.
AWARDS Each event will award the top three places medals, where we will hand out as soon as event completes. The first place teams will be asked to stay on field where they will be recognized and be interviewed.
Co-Ed Field- each field event is allotted 2 entries per gender, for scoring the top female and top male from each team marks will be combined and the best mark combined will be considered the winner of the event and the 10 points will be added to overall team scores ONLY. This will be the same all the way down the 8th place.
Co-Ed Relays - These events consist of 2 boys and 2 girls (except the Mixed Shuttle Hurdle Relay, this is 1 girl and 1 boy), the one rule for these events is that the lead runners be a girl, the remaining order is completely up to the you as a coach. The scores will be added to overall team scores ONLY.
