Buchholz Time Trial: Mary Ann Brown, Colin Barker Win

On a traditionally slow course, Mary Ann Brown opened her high school career in a big way. The freshman from Orange Park High School, who finished third in both the 1500 and 3000 at last spring's Middle School State Championship, beat out her closest competitor by almost two minutes to finish with a time of 18:40. Colin Barker of Bishop Kenny ran most of the race with his teammate Michael Wallace before breaking away with a half mile to go. Colin finished, reportedly looking to be running at about 75% effort according to Ricky Quintana, in 16:09... with Wallace in 16:28.
