Meet Information
East Gadsden High School invites you to attend the 1st ever Coach James Pelham Invitational on Friday, March 12th. The meet is the namesake of one of the all-time great track & field coaches in Florida track history. Coach James Pelham coached originally started the track program at Havana-Northside in 1965, placing 2nd in 1969, then moved onto Shanks High School (1969) in Quincy where he went on to win 4-State Championships, 5-Runner-up Championships and 15+ Top-3 finishes. Coach Pelham is in the Florida Track & Field Coaches Hall of Fame. Coach Pelham will be in attendance for the festivities.
Coach Dave Halliday will serve as meet director. This will be the inaugural meet at East Gadsden High School. The Track Complex will be dedicated prior to the start of finals. The facility is a state of the art SRI---Relay
