2025 Mustang Invitational Info
March 13th 2025 (Thursday)
We are so excited to Host you for the 2025 Mustang
Invitational. Every year we strive to make it better for teams while still
maintaining high quality competition with plenty of awards. Please read the
info sheet well, as the format and entries are a little different than most
meets. Pay special attention to the Javelin as we try different ideals to make
this event run in a timely manner. Ask questions you might have early, so we
can get an answer to you and handle any issues. Thank You
According to FHSAA rules, athletes may only participate in 4
events (running or field). You may enter
only TWO (2) athletes per event in all running and field events, with the
exception of the 100m and the 1600m, where each team is allowed to enter 5 per
gender. Please be considerate when entering entry marks, as the heats will
be seeded based on time. All athletes with no entry marks will be given no
time, and will be seeded last. Athletes in the long jump, triple jump, shot
put, discus and Javelin will receive 3 throws and jumps. Starting heights for
the Pole Vault and High Jump are on the event sheet. Minimum marks for all
others will be established and shared at the Coaches Meeting. ALL TEAM TENTS WILL SETUP ON THE BASEBALL
OUTFIELD, NO EXCEPTIONS. Please stay off the baseball infield or that coach
will hunt me down. All warmups should take place in the Baseball outfield or on
the outside of the track. Hurdles will be provided in that area. Please keep
your team out of the infield
The running events will be on a rolling schedule. All
running events will be finals and all heats are against time. There will be NO
prelims. There will be a large number of athletes so please be sure to have
your athletes ready to compete
Entries must be submitted on www.directathletics.com by
Tuesday, March 11th. Once closed, entries will not open back up. This allows us
to establish Unseeded heats for the 1600m and 3200m and get to coaches earlier.
Please contact Chris Sumner at 850-567-6175 or
LFCSumner3@gmail.com with any concern or questions regarding entries.
The top 4 individuals and top 4 relay teams in each event
will receive awards.
Team Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd
place teams
Entry Fee - $100 per Gender per team ($100 for boys and
$100 for girls). $200 for both.
