  • Remember only top 16 times/marks qualify for the CAL Champions; therefore, it is imperative you enter your athletes carefully. Official Rosters must be submitted prior to the first meet by Feb. 10th the latest.

    There will always be a coaches' meeting 30 min prior to the start of the meet on race day next to the Timing Tent!

Events: 
  •  VARSITY: 

    a. Field Events: discus (1 kg), shot-put (8 lb.), long jump, discus, and high jump 

    b. Track Events:  4 x 800 relay, 100-meter low hurdles, 100-meter dash, 1600 meters (mile run), 4 x 100-meter relay, 400 meters, 800 meters, 200 meters, 4 x 400-meter relay, 

    c. Hurdle Height: 30 inches (low hurdles) 33 inches (high hurdle for boys)

  •  JUNIOR VARSITY: 

    a. Field Events: discus (1kg), shot-put (6 lb. it stays like this for girls Varsity), long jump, and high jump. 

    b. Track Events: sprint medley relay (200,200,400,800), 60-meter low hurdles, 100-meter dash, 1600 meters (mile run), 4 x 100-meter relay, 400 meters, 800 meters, 200 meters, 4 x 400-meter relay,

    c. Hurdle Height: 30 inches.

  • PRIMARY: 

    a. Field Events: long jump,

    b. Track Events: 100-meter dash, 1600 meters (mile run), 4 x 100-meter relay, 400 meters, 800 meters, 200 meters, 4 x 400-meter relay

Order of Events: 

  •  Field events will precede track events. The track events will be held in the following order:

    4 x 800-meter relay (Varsity only), sprint medley (JV only),

    60m/100m low hurdles

    100-meter dash

    1600 meters (mile run)

    4 x 100-meter relay

    400 meters

    800 meters

    200 meters

    4 x 400-meter relay 

Point System:

Total points scored in the final heats of each event by each team will determine team trophy winners. 

  • Individual Scoring 10,8,6,5,4,3 2,1 

    Relay Scoring 12,10,8,6,4,3,2,1

  • An athlete may be entered in a maximum of (4) events per day, when meets are held on one day. All four may be running events. When meets are spread out over two days the rule is the same, four total events over the two days. Two-day meet is scored the same as a one-day meet. 

  •  Entry Limitations - Schools may enter one team only per division but may have up to 3 contestants per event and up to two relay teams per event. 

  • ACC Top 16 Qualifying marks. The top 16 times/marks entered in the ACC meet will be chosen to participate.
