The few Floridians who made the long trip to the meet in Rhode Island were welcomed by a brisk taste of New England\'s finest cold front.

And coming into the 2005 cross country campaign the girls from Jacksonville were determined to live up to the expectations. And the good news is: with no seniors, there\'s more years to come.

NTC Track Club appears to be the only Florida team represented at the USATF Jr. Olympics in Rhode Island. Mallory White finished 11th in the 3K Midget Girls race with a time of 12:41. Her teammate Grace VanDeGrift was just ten second back and finished in 16th.

Justin talks with MileSplit reporter Don Rich on what caused him to drop out of the race and what it takes to get to nationals.

Bona Jones was the top Florida finisher at Footlocker Nationals in San Diego. Jones finished in 30th place with a time of 18:24, while Kelly Parrish was close behind in 34th and 18:35. In the boys\' race Justin Harbor was Florida\'s lone representative; however, he was forced to DNF with a medical issue.

Members of the Lakeland Track Club, Central Florida Gliders, and Miami Milers traveled to South Carolina to compete in the AAU Cross Country National Championship today. Top finishers included Phillip Moeller, Kelsey Dunn, and the Lakeland Track Club midget girls team.
