In 2014, Khosla ran sub 14:59 at the FSU Invitational/Pre-State for the second straight year and picked up his second consecutive 3A Cross Country Finals individual title. Khosla's best of 14:59.45 ranks as the best time ever at the FSU Invitational (Pre-State) and the best ever by a high school athlete at Apalachee Regional Park. We rank the 500 best times in both meet history and on this specific course.
Winter Park junior Rafaella Gibbons and Riverview junior Bailey Hertenstein have both had success at the FSU Invitational (Pre-State) as well as on the Apalachee Regional Park course. Gibbons owns the fastest time at Pre-State with her 17:44.60 win from 2015, while Hertenstein ran the second fastest time of her career 17:32.55 last November at the ARP to capture the 4A Cross Country finals state championship. We look at the best times in meet history and on this specific course.
Michael Phillips of Chiles and Joshua Collins of Belen Jesuit battled it out at the ARP course for the FSU Invitational/Pre-State with the hometown Phillips gutting out the win in a FL#2 time of 15:27.80.
Lincoln freshman Alyson Churchill came through the 1 mile mark at in 5:19 and managed to run the second fastest time of her career 18:06.70 to hold of senior Amanda Beach of MCC and win the largest race in her high school career, Pre-State.
Chris Tucker was on-site Friday and Saturday for the FSU Invitational (Pre-State) and snapped just shy of 1,000 photos from the fans and festivities to the race action. This fan gave all the coverage from the weekend the thumbs up.
The runners were out in full force at the FSU Invitational (Pre-State) and so was our coverage team. Awesome shot of the start of the boys elite race from Cedric Gillette who took just shy of 1,200 images from the four races.

Chiles junior Michael Phillips and Belen Jesuit junior Joshua Collins showed why they are two of the top boys in the class of 2018 duking it out in the elite race at Pre-State, with the hometown Timberwolve coming out on top in a FL#2 time of 15:27.80. On the girls side, Lincoln freshman Alyson Churchill continued her spectacular 2016 with the biggest win of her high school career. Team wise the Marist boys made the trip down from Georgia to defeat Chiles, while the Niceville girls proved why they are ranked number one in our Saucony Flo 50 team rankings.
Every year the top athletes in the state preview the state meet course before titles are on the line in mid November. The best of the best fled Hurricane Matthew and headed to Apalachee Regional Park for the FSU Invitational (Pre-State) to see where they stacked up against others in their classification. Although the meet is scored as everyone combined we decided to break it down to see who the best boys in 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A were from the weekend's races.
