Holy Trinity Signings: Oliver to Kentucky, Burgman to UF

In a signing ceremony today at Holy Trinity Academy in Melbourne, Marquis Burgman and Cole Oliver made their college decisions. Fresh off their 1A boys team state title last Friday, Oliver signed with the University of Kentucky and Burgman went with the University of Florida.

Burgman won the 1A championship in the 110 Hurdles with a 14.27 and was sixth in the 300 Hurdles. His personal bests in those events are 14.10 and 39.70. Burgman also played wide receiver and cornerback on the Tigers football team.

Oliver took second place in a dramatic kick to the finish against teammate Alex Brown in the 1600, finishing with a 4:25.80--just off his personal best of 4:24.27 from Florida Relays. He also contributed to a leg of the sixth place 4x400 relay team and the state champion 4x800 team. His 3200 best of 9:43.13 earned him first in the consolidation round at the FSU Relays.
