"I chose the University of Central Florida because I felt that it was the right fit for me. When I went on my visit I instantly loved the campus and everything that the school had to offer. The recent success with Octavious and Aurieyall played a big factor with my decision because it showed me the direction that the program is headed in and how they can help me grow as a student-athlete. Coach Caryl is an amazing coach with an even more amazing personality and I feel that she can help take me to take me to the next level."
The Knights recently picked up their fourth Conference USA Outdoor Track & Field Championship becoming the first team in conference to do so. They are currently ranked number twelve in the country. "I am looking forward to being on my own for the first time and handling responsibility as a young adult. I also look forward to meeting new people, having new teammates and becoming a well-rounded individual. The kind of athlete that they are getting is one who is very determined. Determined to be the best that she can possibly be. They are also getting a team player who is striving to become a better athlete."
Bellamy adds that all this would not be possible without a great support system.
"I would I like to thank God for all the things that he has brought me through. Blessing me with my talent and an amazing season to finish up my high school career. I would also like to thank my family and coaches for believing in me. Even when I didn't perform my best they were always there to say "good job and we still have work to do". Finally my teammates for making this an unforgettable experience and for having an outstanding season. I will truly miss them."
