World Youth Trials: Day Two Florida Highlights



Plenty of Floridians in action on the second and final day of competition at the World Youth Trials. See how they fared in our day two highlights, plus check out all the results, and over 1,000 awesome photos from David Everett who was on-site.

Day Two Highlights

  • Girls High Jump: Ponte Vedra's Nicole Greene cleared 5-07 along with three other girls, but finished third due to the number of misses.
  • Girls Shot Put: After winning the discus and making team USA, Northwestern's Lloydricia Cameron placed fourth in in the shout put with a throw of 49-06.
  • Girls 110m Hurdles: Stefani Kerrison took third in a new personal best time of 13.81.

  • Girls 100m Dash:  After coming in as the 8th fastest qualifier, Diamond Spaulding crossed the line in fifth place with a time of 12.24 (-2.1 mph wind).
  • GIrls 200m Dash: Spaulding (pictured below) came back to finish fifth in the 200 with a time of 23.99. Deanna Hill was right behind her in sixth at 24.04
  • Girls 400m Dash:  Gabby Gales - 6th - 54.74, Kendall Ellis - 8th - 55.53
  • Boys 400m Dash: Andrew James - 7th - 49.25
