On-Site Coverage
It was a beautiful morning at GT Bray Park for the 2013 Bradenton Runners Club Invitational. Grace Casagrande of Cardinal Mooney High School started the day off by taking the girls title for the second consecutive year. Taking advantage of fast conditions, Casagrande finished with a time of 19:22, leading second place finisher Sage Lyons of Sarasota HS by more than 40 seconds. Sarasota earned the Team title, followed by Lakewood Ranch in 2nd and Sarasota Riverview in 3rd.
On the Boys side, Zackery Summerall of Sarasota High School blistered the course, turning in a time of 15:52. Summerall’s teammate, Adam Bradtmueller, crossed the finish line in second place at 16:00. With times like these, it was not surprising that Sarasota walked off with the boys team title. Sarasota Riverview and Venice finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
