Salute To Seniors: Jai Jackson - Springstead High School

 
What was your most memorable race/moment?
 
My most memorable moment was at the district meet in the 800m when all five competitors(including myself) leaned in to qualify for regionals.
 
Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?
 
The biggest competition was myself. I fought through the pain and made bold moves in my career.
 
What was your greatest accomplishment?
 
My greatest accomplishment was breaking the 4x800 school record.
 
If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
 
I have no regrets. I did the absolute best I could.
 
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
 
The most difficult obstacles were pushing myself when I wanted to give up.
 
What will you miss the most?
 
I will miss everything about running for Springstead High School.
 
What advice would you give to younger athletes?
 
A proper diet and hard training will take you a long way
 
What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?
 
He has encouraged me regardless of performance. He has been there for all my ups and downs
 
What are your college plans?
 
I will be attending the Florida School of Discipleship in Fort Myers.
 
Who would you like to say thank you to?
 
I would like to thank myfamily for attending and encouraging me, my coach and team for push me through those tough workouts, and most importantly Jesus for giving me the strength and making me what I am today.
 
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
 
I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me
