Far beyond the annoyance of wet uniforms and slippery footing--not to mention fogged-over lenses and shorted-out digital cameras--necessity turned this lightning-delayed meet from its prelims/finals, place-over-time format into a time-over-place (who needs prelims?) race to the regionals.
