In one of the best races for Florida girls at Foot Locker South Holy Trinity alumni Kayla Hale just misses out on the title and edges out fellow Sunshine State runners Emilie Amaro and Brittany Koziara for the runner-up spot. Amaro and Koziara would all run under 17 minutes as well, the only three Florida runners to ever break that barrier at Foot Locker South. Only three other girls ever in Florida history have achieved times under 17 minutes. Their times rank 5th,6th, and 7th respectively ever at the FL South Regional.
