Former Florida Gator, NCAA Champion,and current Adidas professional Omar Craddock finished second at the USA Indoor Championships in Portland this past weekend with a mark of 16.96m (55-7¾ ). Craddock is predicted to make the medal stand at the World Indoor Championships also in Portland which start on Thursday and run through the weekend. We caught up with him to find out his preparation over the last two weeks for USA's and Worlds.
"The past two weeks consisted of hop, hop, step, jump short approach jumps. Going from 6 to 8 steps. As well as sprinting 40 to 60m sprints," he told us.
He added that the workouts are to focus on his weaknesses which he believes are his speed and step phase in the triple jump.
