Tyrese Cooper made even more history when he broke the Bob Hayes meet record of 20.63 set in 2014 by UGA standout Kendal Williams. His time of 20.55 is a wind legal PR for "Smoke" and a new sophomore class national record as well beating that of newly turned Adidas professional Noah Lyles who clocked a time of 20.71 back in 2014.

Cooper already owns the freshman class national record in this event (20.62) as well as the freshman class record in the 400 (45.23).

Speaking of the 400, the Norland sophomore owned the meet record from 2016 of 46.51 and dropped that by over three-tenths to 46.16, giving him a meet record sweep for the weekend.

What does the future hold for Cooper?  One thing we do know is fast times take place every time he hits the track and records always seem to be in jeopardy.
