A list of the most improved boys and girls runners from the 2023 FHSAA Cross Country State meet to the 2024.
To make the list, the athlete had to be in the top 100 in both the 2023 and 2024 State meets. The list does not include athletes who did not run in 2023 and who ran slower in 2024 than in 2023.
Creekside Jr.Jackson Lafser was 5th in this years 4A race with a 15:40.70. That is a 1:03.00 improvement from his 2023 73rd place finish in 16:43.70.
Note: After publishing, it was pointed out that Jr. Mason Lablance of King was 6th in the 2A race this year and 73rd in the 3A race in 2023. Running 17:12.00 in 2023 and 16:06.60 in 2024. That would be a difference of 1:04.40. I am not sure why the software does not pick this up. It may be in the switch from 3A in 2023 to 2A in 2024. Hats off to Mason for a great improvement.
