The Miami at Florida State football game was was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2017. Due to safety concerns regarding Hurricane Irma, the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) rescheduled the game for October 7, 2017, in Tallahasssee.
That just so happens to be the same weekend as the FSU Invitational (Pre-State). The game, could draw several thousands of football fans to the Tallahassee area and campus. This could affect hotel availability and prices for those who travel every year for the cross country meet. At the FSU Invitational/Pre-State, the college programs compete on Friday and the high schools compete on Saturday.
