Girls Individuals
Mary Borkowski hails from the state of New York, but don't be mistaken she has something no other runner in the girl's small school race can say, they are a defending champion in the event. Borkowski won the race with her Pearl River teammates as an 8th grade in 2014. Now a junior, she has the fastest time in the field of 19:39 from the Briardwood Invitational in Philadelphia. Her biggest challenge will come from Sydnee Calder of Boca Raton Christian, the only other girl in the field to break 20 minutes. Calder was 10th at the 1A Cross Country Finals and recently finished second in the 1A/2A race at Spanish River.
