Girls Individuals
Winter Springs sophomore Mackenzie Czurak has the 9th fastest time in the state and second fastest in the class of 2020 behind only Alyssa Hendrix of Riverview. Her 18:29.61 from the Winter Springs Invitational is nearly a minute faster than freshman teammate Susie Doyle whose older brother Matt Doyle was last year's 4A Cross Country Finals champion. Plant City's Cassie Highsmith is also one to watch. The senior ran a personal best of 19:35 to finish second last weekend in the Invitational race at North Port.
Girls Teams
Winter Springs has the best one two punch in the field with Czurak and Doyle. The team's number one runner last year Elayna Bahr, who broke 18 minutes, is currently the team's fourth best this season with a time of 22 minutes, so it will be interesting to see how s...
