The Trinity Prep girls ran under the Avery Creek moniker for NXN Southeast. In year's past it has been the boys who have earned all the credit, but not Saturday. Sophomore Audrey McAnally finished second in the open race with a personal best time of 19:05.90.
In true Trinity Prep fashion the key to their win as a team was the pack running mentality. We've seen the boys all cross the line at the same time and linking arms. It wasn't that extreme, but behind McAnally were freshman Alaina Pisello (24th - 20:09.9), sophomore Lucy Albright (25th - 20:10.3), Albright's senior sister Olivia Albright (34th - 20:22.1) and the younger sister of Saint's standout Trent Turbyfill, Taitem Turbyfill who was 36th in 20:26.8.
If you're keeping score that is five in the top 36 and a total score of 95 points. The team will be one to watch both in 2A down the road as well as next year if they continue to compete in the open race as four girls are sophomores or under this season.
