Which FLYRA State Meet Record Will Go Down? MS Boys Sprints

With most of last year's top hurdlers graduated and on to high school, the field opens up for the 200m hurdles on the middle school level. Greg Curtis, of Peak Performance Gainesville, comes in with the top returning spot with his PR of 26.93 to lead the boys as a seventh grader. Jabari Brown and Kahneil Budham had a nice AAU battle this season at the AAU Junior Olympic Games with Brown and Budham gaining new PR's of 27.19 and 27.78.

Watch out for Taydren Derico this season. Derico missed out on the state meet last season, and he will come for that 200m qualifying spot this season to show what the Panhandle has to offer.

First Academy's 110mh, 300mh, and long jump state champion, Alex Shields, holds the 200m hurdle record in a time of 25.03 back in 2016. Could we see one of these athletes smash that record?
