First Academy alumna class of 2015, Teahna Daniels, is no stranger to the spotlight. In high school, she was a national indoor champion, outdoor state champion, and Adidas Grand Prix top finisher. In 2015, Daniels won the FHSAA 1A 100m final in 11.78 and was state runner-up in the 200m in 25.88.
As a freshman for University of Texas, Daniels finished second in the 60m dash at the Big 12 Indoor Championships. In 2017 she won the 60m in 7.30 and last year she finished second in 7.37. This year Daniels came back for redemption and for the conference title. She finished out her conference with another 60m conference win in 7.22, and a ninth place finish in the 200m in 23.74.
