Piper, Bolles, FPC Kick To Run Epic Sub 8-Minute 4x800m

The 4x800m relay races this weekend did not disappoint.

Piper Kicks To Win Sam Burley

On Friday at the Sam Burley Invitational, South Florida's fastest lined up to race to see who has the fastest middle distance squad. Coming in with the leading seed from Louie Bing was Piper HS with their previous 8:01 performance a few weeks back.

With an incredibly deep field and a typical 80 degree Miami night, it was going to be a battle to the finish to see who wanted the Sam Burley title.

Columbus, Southridge, Belen, and Fort Lauderdale HS go through the fourth exchange in that order, but watch Piper HS as Sukeil Foucha gets the baton for his anchor leg.

Foucha dominates his leg going from fifth place to a battle for first with Columbus to win the Sam Burley 4x800m title in a Florida no. 3 time of 7:59.48.

Up the coast at the Bolles Bulldog Classic, another 4x800m battle was brewing. Both Bolles and Flagler Palm Coast have incredibly talented middle distance squads and to no surprise, both teams were in for a fight.

The race came down to a lean finish with Chase Rivera of Bolles and Jacob Miley of Flagler Palm Coast anchoring their teams in a Florida-leading race with unofficial 1:52 relay splits from both of them.
