Miami Gardens Xpress 8th grader, Mekhi Gammons, clocked a 49.37 to win the boys Junior High 400m at New Balance Nationals Outdoor on Thursday. Gammons' teammate, Shamar Morgan, finished 5th in a time of 51.54.
Gammons edged out Nathan Leacock of NC at the line who finished second in a time of 49.71.
