Special consideration for other events will be made on a case by case basis; however, we will not attempt to keep an accurate honor roll of these rarely run events. These include the 4x1600, Race Walk, Hammer/Weight/Javelin Throw, 2000/3000 Steeplechase. If performances that may be considered elite occur in such events they may or may not be included on the list at our discretion.

The outdoor season will be considered from February 1, 2002 - June 15, 2002.

Elite Standards, while not scientificly calculated, were based on many things. We looked at both Florida resutls and also national top 100 results from the 2001 Outdoor season. These standards were debated openly on the flrunners.com discussion board before their final release. Any questions or comments can be directed toward jason@flrunners.com. If you are unhappy with the standards that we came up with, I appologize. If there are things you feel should change then I invite you to take part in the discussion next year when we attempt to set them. These standards are those that should be strived for and athletes will be thus recognized for achieving these. Please help us by reporting results and keeping us on our toes when we make mistakes or miss worhty performances.
