Charles Hicks lead the U20 Britain team to a gold team title with his individual fifth place finish at the European Cross Country Championships.
Hicks made his British debut this morning in style in Libson, running a time of 19:05 for the 6.3km distance.
The recent Bolles graduate and multi-time Florida state champion, redshirted his freshman cross country season for Stanford and instead pursued the European Cross Country scene in the mean time.
His 19:05 performance not only led the Great Britain team, but was just four places behind Olympian, Jakob Ingerbritsen, who ran a time of 18:20 to win.
