Christopher Columbus took over the national 4x800m leaderboard this weekend with their 7:54 performance at the Sam Burley Hall of Fame Invitational.
After a disqualification of then second place Belen due to a dropped Baton in the first leg, Columbus took over the race in their second leg when Adrian Bichara took the baton and cruised his way up to Belen's lead. Two weekends ago, Florida saw Bichara go 1:55 in the open 800m at the Spartan Invitational -- a current Florida No. 2 time for the distance.
After Columbus, Fort Lauderdale took second with a sub 8:10 effort coming in second with a season best of 8:05.
