On this day in 2018, Caitlin Collier and Hugh Brittenham dominated the 800m distance at FSU Relays with their then top national leading performances of the outdoor season.

Collier dropped the hammer in the girls 800m, taking the lead from the gun and pushing the pace to have a 75m gap on the rest of the field. Her 2018 national leading time of 2:04.87 was a then Florida no. 2 all-time 800m performance before she ran a 2:00.85 later that season at the Music City Distance Carnival to take over the Florida history books.

The boys 800m at FSU relays in 2018 produced some of the best 800m performances we have seen in the state in one single race over the past few years.

Estero's Brittenham took the win with a PR of 1:51.92, leading six others in his heat sub 1:57.
