Emelia Chatfield dropped a 41.19 to win the 4A girls 300m hurdle state title.
The St. Thomas Aquinas senior and University of Texas signee took a stacked 300mH field with the likes of Raniyah Jones, Alexis Glasco, Ava Klein, Jaydea Carter, and Amaya Ugarte in her heat. Jones and Chatfield battled down to the last 50 meters of the race.

Like the rest of the state, Chatfield had an abbreviated senior season, finishing third in the 100mH at the Louie Bing Memorial Classic and second at the Sam Burley Hall of Fame invitational with a wind-aided PR of 13.50.
