Throwback: Seymour Drops Golden South Meet Record In Prelims

KaTia Seymour ended her fantastic senior season with a Flo Golden South 100m meet record in the prelims back in 2017 and a second place finish in the finals. 

The Palatka superstar dropped a wind-legal 11.33 to win heat one of the 100m with ease against a stacked field. 

Prior to this race, Seymour took home two individual state titles in the 100m and 200m for class 2A with practically an undefeated season give or take two races all season.

The now FSU standout is Golden South's top 100m performer since the meet kicked off in 1976. Seymour has now had a very successful collegiate career racking up nine All-American honors and holds FSU school records of 11.11 for the 100m and indoor 200m of 22.85. 


Less than three years after this 100m meet record, KaTia is on the fast track to becoming the greatest sprinter that Florida State has ever seen.
