On Tuesday, Leon County Commissioners lifted the COVID-19 testing mandate that required all athletes and essential personnel to be tested 72 hours prior to the event start.

The FSU (Pre-State) Invitational will be the first event conducted at a Leon County facility since the onset of the pandemic.

In addition to lifting the testing protocols, each individual athlete is allowed 1 adult/guardian to attend the event.

Registration will remain open until 12 a.m. on Oct. 1. There is an eight athlete maximum for each team, per gender.

On the day of the event, face coverings and social distancing will be required at all times. Coaches will be responsible for distributing the wristbands to all essential personnel and designated spectators. No one will be allowed on the competition grounds without a wristband.

At this time these safety protocols are required at the direction of Leon County commissioners and, at this time, do not include the FHSAA Cross Country State Championship.
