Thank you for entering the Golden South Series #1. We are very excited to have your patronage of this event, which helps support our year-round coverage of the sport in Florida on fl.milesplit.com. We only hope to grow from here as part of our revival of the event and glad to have you part of it!
The goal here is to have a relaxed, fun, and fast meet that is pro-athletes to have another opportunity to compete in the post-season.
Entries closed today at 5 PM and just wanted to send a few final reminders and updates in regards to the meet.
Entry Lists, Heat Sheets, Live Results & Live Stream

Heat sheets will be posted at the latest tomorrow on fl.milesplit.com as well as will be published on MileSplit.live, which will have live results of the meet. The meet will also be live streamed on fl.milesplit.com for those that cannot attend as well as race replays and photo gallery of the meet as part of the meet coverage on the website.
IMPORTANT START TIME CHANGE
We have decided to bump the meet start back to 5:30 PM on Saturday with the high of 90 degrees in Fort Myers area as always the goal of the meet was to have a meet finish between 9-9:30 PM for a good portion of the competition to be held later in the evening with cooler temperatures as the sun goes down. The start time was always going to be adjusted based on the size of the meet to set up to finish in that time frame.
The meet size should really take about 3 hours to complete. We will run an efficient meet, but not a super-fast pace on a rolling schedule to allow athletes to double or even triple. The venue and gates will open up for warmup for athletes and spectators to enter at 4:30 PM sharp. No earlier.
Entry Fees Owed & Payment
If you have not paid your entry fee yet or have any remaining balance, below should indicate if you have a balance or not according to our records. If you do, simply go back into the registration system to pay online via credit card. All entry fees must be paid online by Friday night or those athletes will be scratched out of the meet. We are not collecting any meet-day payments.
If you are a coach attending the meet, please let me know and names as will have your name at the pass gate, and no admission fee is required of you.
Admission for Spectators - Online Only
Parents and any other spectators attending including noncompeting athletes will have to pay an admission fee of $7 + convenience fee charges. Children 6 & under are free. Tickets can be purchased online at EventBrite this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/golden-south-series-1-tickets-152882366273. This also helps manage and keep track of our headcount for covid policy compliance with the venue.
No admission tickets will be sold at the gate and must be purchased online. Purchase online on your phone if have to before arriving in the venue. Print tickets or show email/app purchase on your phone of ticket purchase at the gate.
Middle School Combining With High School Races
We will be running middle school and high school age group races combined merging the seed times, but will have awards and separated results for middle school athletes in the 100 meter dash, 400 meter dash, and mile run.
Awards
Awards (medals) will be given to the top 3 finishers in each event. We will have a designated table and tent for those athletes to pick up their awards.
