Registration is still open for Golden South Series #2 at East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, Florida on Friday, May 21st until the deadline of Wednesday at 10 PM ET. The fields are starting to really shape up with some big names and stars in the field as well as plenty of depth.
The first leg of the Golden South Series kicked off successfully at Dunbar High School this past Saturday and now moves up the Gulf Coast side of Florida into Pinellas County just outside of two major cities in St. Petersburg and Tampa.
Make it a mini-vacation and enjoy the beaches of Pinellas County stretching all the way from Clearwater down to St. Pete beach while in the region.
Action will start at 5:30 PM sharp on Friday evening and should conclude no later than 9:30 PM if not earlier. All events are individual running events starting with the 100-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles, 100-meter dash, one mile run, 400-meter dash, 300-meter hurdles, 800-meter run, 200-meter dash, and two mile run in that order.
All entry fees ($25/per event and $50/max per athlete or $500/max per team) must be paid online at the time of registration deadline.

The top 3 finishers will receive rewards including a medal and MileSplit headband.
The meet atmosphere will be relaxed and athlete-friendly as well as another great opportunity in the post-season to run fast times.
The current weather forecast calls for a sunny day in the low 80's during the majority of the competition between 5:30 to 9 PM with a steady breeze around or over 15 mph and no chance of precipitation.
