Adam Magoulas (Belen Jesuit) - Boys Mile, Boys 2 Mile
One of the state's more consistent distance performers with a handful of sub 4:20 mile or 1600 meter performances this season is Belen Jesuit senior Adam Magoulas. He is the top seed entered in both the mile and two-mile run. He will have the 1A state champion distance running brothers of Oak Hall in Austin Montini and Caden Montini to contend with on Friday.
Magoulas was the 3A boys state runner-up in the 1600 and gutted up a 9:20 for sixth place in his third race of the day at the state meet. Staying sharp and racing into the post-season, Magoulas ran a 1:56 800 and 9:25 3200 last week at the Superfly Athletics Meet of Champions in South Florida. He is ranked among the top 15 overall in the state of Florida this season with season bests of 1:54 in the 800, 4:15 in the 1600, 4:16 in the mile, and 9:13 in the 3200.
