Emma Hencock of St. Brendan has had to settle for runner-up finishes in her last two invitational races but will be a favorite on Friday in the 1A/2A varsity girls race at Spanish River with Pine Crest sophomore Brooke Hooper as her toughest challenger. The two battled it out in Hencock's last win of the season in their season opener at Park Vista.
